Job Title -Project Manager - Clinical IT Projects
Location - New York
Duration – 12 months or Extended.
Rate - Depends on Experience
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage and control project and project delivery teams to meet deadlines, escalate issues for timely resolution, and adhere to project management methodologies.
- Project Planning: Lead the planning and coordination of projects, including procurement, system design, testing, implementation, systems integration, training, activation, deployment, and system maintenance.
- Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills with significant direct interface at all levels within the organization, managing project relationships and resolving issues.
- Risk Management: Provide continuous risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Interoperability Projects: Contribute to HL7 and CCR/CCD/CCDA interoperability projects to integrate with EMRs and HIEs, including interfaces for demographics, scheduling, billing, patient lockbox, laboratory, radiology, PACS, and departmental reports.
- Stakeholder Management: Work with internal and external stakeholders, including application owners and vendors, to ensure project success.
- Documentation: Maintain required project documentation and ensure all project documents are stored appropriately.
- Project Plans: Create detailed project plans, update senior management regularly, and include solutions in the project plan.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate rates for vendor contracts, manage vendor relationships, and handle procurement.
- Budget Management: Assist in setting and tracking department budgets.
- Disaster Recovery: Create and implement disaster recovery plans.
- IT Strategy: Plan and implement large IT projects, evaluate new IT strategies and procedures.
- Prioritization: Setup prioritization across businesses and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Technical Leadership: Direct and lead the work of technical staff.
- Communication: Facilitate communication and up-to-date work progress across key stakeholders to meet project milestones.
Requirements:
- Experience: Extensive project management experience in managing large-scale projects at the enterprise/institutional level.
- Skills:
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of project charters and milestones.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining project plans and documentation.
- Ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Attributes:
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.

- In-depth knowledge of HL7 and CCR/CCD/CCDA interoperability.
