Job Title -Logistics Coordinator - Medical Parts and Device Handling
Location - New York
Duration – 12 months or Extended
Rate - Depends on Experience
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end logistics process for medical parts and devices, including but not limited to, ordering, receiving, stocking, and shipping.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of parts and devices, maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet operational demands.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of the stockroom, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with various internal departments, such as procurement, warehouse, and shipping, to streamline logistics operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging materials for outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track stock levels, monitor product expiration dates, and generate reports as needed.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics function.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, to safely transport and store heavy items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and shipping carriers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a medical or healthcare-related industry.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office and inventory management tools.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to handling and shipping medical devices is a plus.
